CFL 2012 Regular Season: Week 2

For the eastern based teams week number two is a hopeful bounce back week, with week one a sweep by the West, the second week of CFL play finds a few eastern teams looking to prove that they're ready for prime time after all..

The Alouettes will hope to show that they actually do have a defence this season when the host the Bombers, the Blue once again facing questions as to the survivability of their Quarterback Buck Pierce, injured in the season opener, but a possible starter Friday.

The Ti Cats travel West to face the Lions, eager to showcase their rejuvenated offence, of Burris, Fantuz, Giguere, Cobourne et al, an offence that sputtered out of the gate in their season debut last week at Ivor Wynee.

The Stamps having vacated McMahon for Stampede week are in Toronto for the Argos home opener, a   familiar face to meet them on the offensive side of the ball for the Double Blue as Ricky Ray renews his acquaintances from his days with the Esks and Stamps.

The week wraps up on Sunday with a home opener for the Roughriders, as the Eskimos make the trek into Saskatchewan. The Riders were the toast of week one with an impressive display over the Ti Cats, Rider fans are no doubt hopeful for an encore against the Esks to bring week two to an end.
