CFL Regular Season: Week 15

Thanksgiving arrives for Canadian football and some teams will be more thankful than others perhaps as they weigh their situations with the turkey this weekend.

While Winnipeg and Edmonton perhaps, has the most to reflect on as far as seasons that did not quite work out as they might have hoped for, the remainder of their brothers at the Cohon banquet table are still very much in the mix for playoff positioning with tight races shaping up in both the East and the West.

Toronto and Montreal now can see Hamilton starting to make some noise in the CFL east, while the CFL West features a dog fight between the Lions and the Stamps with the Riders keeping close and keeping things interesting.

As the final stretch drive for playoff positions gets underway next week, it seems that it will be a divisional showdown for placement, the prospects of a crossover berth either East to West or West to East suddenly seems to be fading quickly as both the Bombers and Eskimos struggle along to finish their seasons of woe.

Four games mark the Thanksgiving Weekend in Canada, kickoff to Turkey day comes tonight in Edmonton, with an dandy appetizer, if not the weekend's main event planned for Saturday in Vancouver when the Lions host the Stamps.

Turkey Day itself features the Als and Bombers and Argos and Riders, results from all four should provide some interesting scenarios heading off to the playoffs of November.
