CFL Regular Season: Week 16

The Thanksgiving Turkey is all but forgotten, the last of the "classics" as they are named by the CFL these days, (well with the exception of the Grey cup itself we imagine) have faded for another year.

Leaving CFL fans with the mad three week dash to the end of the regular season and the final jockeying for playoff positioning and a bye into the CFL Finals on the line.

Week Sixteen will provide the opportunity for some to solidify their hold on their spots, for others the chance to improve upon their positioning or fade from view is on the line this weekend.

The Lions will seek to increase their hold on first overall with a victory in Hamilton to kick off the weekend, Saturday brings the Stamps into Winnipeg to see if Joey Elliot can snare himself another player of the week award on behalf of the Bombers. In Edmonton, the Eskimos finally back in the win column after last week will seek to make it two in a row over the surging Riders, while Sunday provides for another showdown for first in the East when the Argos host the Alouettes.

Four games that could very well offer up a shake up of the landscape and set the stage for the final two weeks of the season.
