But for one victory, the Lions and Riders would be looking at Friday nights wrap to the TSN doubleheader as a the ice breaker of the season six games in, however with the Riders having found their one and only victory of the year a few weeks back, it's the Lions with the more desperate view of Friday nights game.
The Lions have let a few opportunities slip away in the six week previous, and with the bounce of the ball (or more likely a completion or two at key moments) and the Lions wouldn't be looking at Friday nights game as one which could leave them at 0-6 one third of the way into the regular season.
Saskatchewan has looked a little better from it's early season miseries, but still they have but one victory in six games, so Friday night offers up two desperate teams looking to turn things around and in this case at the expense of the other.
